Printing is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you’ll get” — with this motive the Department of “Fashion Design” hosted an eco printing Workshop. During this event, students had the opportunity to explore a diverse array of printing techniques, for instance block printing, plant bashing, stencil printing, spray painting etc. Through hands-on experimentation, they produced impressive and innovative designs.
Eco-printing is a sustainable art technique where natural elements like leaves, flowers, and other plant materials are used to create beautiful, organic patterns on fabric. The participants have held up various pieces of cloth showcasing unique and colorful prints, each one featuring intricate patterns made by pressing or dyeing with real botanical materials. The outdoor setting adds to the natural theme of the workshop, blending art, nature, and education.
