Design Challenge
“Everything is designed, but few things are designed well”, with this motive, a “Design Challenge” was held at “Shree Hanumat Institute of Management and Technology” by “Fashion Design” Department on January 23rd, 2020 for the students of B.Sc FD (semester-IV).
Creating a design challenge is a way to initiate a project where students go through an entire design thinking process at least once. This way of using design thinking helps in enhancing student’s creative minds. For this activity, we made chits having different design challenges of silhouettes, details, elements, and themes. Students picked two chits and came up with interesting illustrations of their designs. After that, they displayed their designs on boards and explained their ideas to each other. This activity gave confidence to the students that they can design anything at any time.
