To enhance the creative skills of students, “Fashion Design” department of “Shree Hanumat Institute of Management and Technology” has organized a “Collage Making Competition” on 25th September, 2019.
“A COLLAGE IS THE PICTURE OF GOALS, AND TINY STEPS INCHING CLOSER TO THE WHOLE.”.
With this thought, Collage Making Competition was being organised for fashion design Students. The students were briefed about the significance of Collage, which is a technique of an art production, primarily used in the visual arts, where the artwork is made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole. A collage may sometimes include magazine and newspaper clippings, ribbons, paint, bits of colour or handmade papers, portions of other artwork and so on.
The competition started at sharp 9:50 a.m. All the participants brought the newspapers, magazines, scissors and other raw materials and grabbed their seats. The time allotted was one and a half hour. Participants were given ample opportunities to showcase their creativity followed by the theme. All the students participated enthusiastically along with competitive spirit.
The students were judged by Ms. Prabhjot Kaur. The criteria of judgment were Creativity, Theme and Presentation. Dr. Shelly Rekhi Sharma, Director, SHIMT congratulated the winner. Later on Students displayed their work on notice board.
