An algorithm is a step by step method of solving a problem. It is commonly used for data processing, calculation and other related computer and mathematical operations. In simple words Algorithms is ‘Logic or Procedure of solving any Problem’.
The importance of algorithm cannot be undermined. Algorithm is solely responsible for driving technical revolution in the past decade. Algorithm depends upon the time and space complexity. Good algorithms take less time and memory to perform a task. Algorithms play a key role in doing research work.
Students of BCA 3rd semester have performed an activity to solve the problems by writing best algorithms. Real life problems were given to them and students have come up with the solution in the form of algorithms. They obtained the description of problem, analysed it, Developed and reviewed the algorithm.
