“Creativity allows people to be effective”

An activity ‘Crafty Creation’ was organised by the Fashion Design department of ‘’Shree Hanumat Institute of Management and Technology” for the students on Thursday, 15th October 2020

Craft is a fun way to boost the creativity of the students and evoke in them a sense of appreciation for beauty. As the world faces this pandemic in unified isolation, we at Fashion Revolution are focusing on how the unfolding situation can bring changes in our fashion industry and we can save both our people and planet. We can move towards sustainable fashion.

So in this pandemic we used waste fabrics and even old garments to make masks for people. This will not only reduce fabric wastage but also give opportunity to our students to show their creativity and to earn from their creativity. Ma’am, Miss Navdeep Dogra gave demo on how to make mask and then students turned waste fabrics into beautiful masks with their creativity.

Masks were beautified by using different surface ornamentation techniques like block printing, patch work, applique work, hand painting and hand embroidery. A fabulous participation of all the students was observed during this joyful activity.
