Shree Hanumat IMT — BHMCT Department organized a vibrant Punjabi-themed activity in their restaurant, creating an immersive experience that celebrated the rich culture, colors, and flavors of Punjab. The theme was carefully crafted to highlight the warmth, hospitality, and joyous spirit associated with Punjabi culture, allowing guests to feel as though they were transported to the heart of Punjab.
Decor and Ambience
The restaurant was adorned with traditional Punjabi decor, featuring colorful phulkari patterns, juttis, and vibrant drapes. The walls were decorated with iconic Punjabi symbols, such as truck art designs, rustic lanterns, and miniature models of tractors, evoking a sense of the rural Punjabi landscape.
Punjabi Cuisine
The menu was crafted to showcase classic Punjabi dishes, allowing guests to experience the full spectrum of flavors. Starters included favorites like Amritsari champ and Paneer Tikka. The main course featured iconic dishes such as sarson da saag with makki di roti, chole bhature, and dal makhani, all served with freshly prepared tandoori bread and fragrant basmati rice.
Cultural Engagement and Activities
To make the experience interactive, the event included traditional Punjabi games, such as kabbadi and gulli danda, along with live performances of bhangra and gidda, which are popular Punjabi folk dances.
